How a Pinterest Link Snowballed into Simply Sara

Most blogs start with “Hello World.” Cute, but not me. If you’re reading this, you deserve more than a default greeting. So here’s how this little corner of the internet got started.

It began with Pinterest and an Amazon Associates link. Not because I’m an influencer (spoiler: I’m not), but because I thought, why not share the products I actually use and love? While trying to make a little tiny extra cash. One link turned into a few, and before I knew it, I started imagining a place where I could collect all my finds, hacks, and tips in one spot.

But it didn’t stop there. Life has been… a lot lately. After nearly 20 years of doing things one way, I’ve found myself starting over in my 40s. Single mom, new responsibilities, and making big decisions without the person I used to lean on. That’s not something I ever thought I’d be writing, but here we are. And honestly? Writing it out feels like a way to process it and maybe help someone else who’s been through something similar. While of course hopefully helping myself along the way too, because it has been hard.

So this blog idea has become more than links and finds. It’s a mix of practical (the daily hacks and products that keep me sane), personal (navigating single mom life in my 40s), and creative (sharing my Etsy work and new projects). It’s about the real stuff in between — the wins, the struggles, and the little moments that make it all meaningful.

If you stick around, you’ll find Daily Finds, New Chapters, Etsy Creations, and plenty of “everything in between.” Some posts will be quick tips, some will be honest reflections, and some will be just me trying things out and seeing where they go.

Thanks for being here at the beginning. I may have thought of starting it with a simple Amazon link, but this space is about something bigger: sharing, connecting, and finding ways to make life a little simpler, a little lighter, and maybe even a little more fun.

❤️ Sara
